Mission and vision. Dr. Theresa Szczurek helps ventures and individuals succeed by living their values and fulfilling their purposes. Working over the last 25 years with established and emerging firms in worldwide marketing, strategic planning, and organizational development, she reenergizes clientsí strategic plans, implementation programs, and workforces.

Nationally recognized resource. A published author and in-demand public speaker, her latest book is Pursuit of Passionate Purpose: Success Strategies for a Rewarding Personal and Business Life. As an awarded professional, she was selected Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Womenís (BPW) Federation, Woman of Achievement by the YWCA, and Denver Business Journalís 1999 Real Women, Real Business winner in Innovation.

Proven entrepreneur helping others thrive. In 1990 she co-founded Radish Communications Systems, a technology company that developed products designed to increase the efficiency and value of telephone computer transactions. Under her guidance, Radish introduced VoiceView®, the new standard to exchange voice and data over a single, normal telephone line. Radish was sold in December 1996 for over $40 Million to SystemSoft Corporation. She is listed in the Denver Business Journalís Whoís Who in Technology and Telecommunications. For her work to help entrepreneurs, she received the Boulder Technology Incubator's Model of Excellence and Board Member Service Awards. She also serves on a number of corporate, government, and non-profit organization boards including the Colorado Technology Incubatorís Advisory Board. She received the Quiet Hero Award in 2001 from Boulder Rotary Club for "Service Above Self."

Solid technical and international foundation. She began her career with 8 years at Bell Telephone Laboratories and AT&T International, first designing business information systems and then managing the delivery of these systems into world markets.

A woman helping women. She strives relentlessly for the advancement of women. For her efforts to help women be competitive in worldwide trade and to raise international educational funds, she received the Spirit Award of BPW/Colorado and the National Issues Management Award of BPW/USA. Receiving the BPW Visionary Award for her work, she raised a $300,000 endowment for the Colorado BPW Foundation to help women attain economic self-sufficiency through education. She advises many entrepreneurs and seeks to get more women on powerful boards.

Experience and education. She has worked with hundreds of large multinational corporations, small businesses, government agencies, entrepreneurial ventures, and individuals. She holds a BS in Mathematics and Finance from Western Illinois University, an MS in Operations Research from Stanford University, and an MBA and PhD in Business Administration (with a focus in Marketing and Organizational Development) from the University of Colorado.
 
About Ida Halasz

Summary of Expertise. Throughout her career, Dr. Halasz has been an executive, an entrepreneur, a researcher, an educator/trainer, an author, and an executive coach. She has worked with Technology and Management Solutions for over 10 years as an executive coach, researcher, process facilitator, and consultant to many organizations.

Dr. Halasz moved to Colorado to work at the US Department of Justice's National Academy for Corrections as the vice-president equivalent in 1989. During her tenure, she implemented the distance learning program with videoconferences that trained over 30,000 correctional leaders annually. She oversaw course development, quality control, marketing, and evaluation. She developed and taught seminars on focus groups and DACUM job analyses. She coached executives on leadership practices.

In the earlier part of her career, she directed vocational education research, training, and executive leadership projects for over ten years at Ohio State University's Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE). Her work included developing training and coaching programs for education and government executives from across the USA and around the world, including Australia, Japan, Germany, England, and Egypt. While at CETE, she founded and directed the State Directors Correctional Education Association to provide research, training and mentoring/coaching for directors of state correctional systems.

Dr. Halasz founded Halvan Associates to focus on organizational improvement through consulting, training, and coaching. She has worked within a wide range of for-profit and non-profit sectors, including emerging technologies and medical/dental. She has conducted in-depth feasibility studies for dental organizations to ascertain the viability of starting new ventures. Another project was to coach the college staff in Omsk, Siberia (Russia) through developing their own strategic marketing plan when they had to move from total state support to charging for services in the new capitalistic economy. She also coached Omsk business owners to help them understand how to become profitable.

In 2000, she took a two-year hiatus from her company to become the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for a hi-tech manufacturing company in Boulder, CO. Her team increased sales by over 100% during her first year by designing and executing a comprehensive marketing/sales plan that included research, a new advertising and media campaign, new interactive website, client training, and personal selling./p>

Currently, Dr. Halasz consults with non-profit, government, and for-profit organizations on feasibility research studies, strategic marketing plans, marketing research, and training. Her work includes executive recruiting and coaching executives. She has worked with the Federal Government' Office of Personnel Management for several years as a Coach for executive leadership programs and as an Assessor/Coach in the Senior Executive Assessment Program.

She is a volunteer Ambassador for the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and a business coach and trainer for the Small Business Development Center in Boulder. She has provided volunteer expertise to several non-profit organizations, including Howard Dental Center and Compass House.

She has authored over 90 publications, including a book on computer documentation and numerous articles on varied topics in professional refereed journals. She revised a series of 12 management workbooks for the American Correctional Association on topics such as Coaching: The Key to Improving Staff Performance and Conflict: Managing it Effectively.

Education. Dr. Halasz received her Ph.D. at the Ohio State University in Education and Vocational Psychology. She served as a Graduate Administrative Associate to the Dean of Education and taught teacher education classes while at OSU. Her prior degrees were from Edinboro State University in PA and Youngstown State University in OH.
